My name is Douglas Patten and I’m a husband, a father, a writer and I generally express enthusiasm for anything nerdy or delicious. I’m uber lucky to be married to Caity (a.k.a. the woman of my dreams) and we share our lives with our three beautiful and occasionally terrifying children. Caity and I enjoy sharing the love of Jesus Christ with each other, our children and everyone we have the good fortune to meet.
OLDE WAYS: NEW THINKING is created as an extension of my time spent writing and publishing. I believe living life to the fullest is accomplished by loving people, no matter how broken. And in a dark world that needs hope, the best way to do that is by allowing the love of Jesus to fill me up and then overflow onto others around me. To be forgiven and to forgive is the beginning of what it means to live.
